Some events have waiting periods in which the guests may need to be kept somewhat entertained to avoid disappointment. This is just what happened when we created an event for 350 delegates in North America. Our client wanted guests from different markets to have dinner at different restaurants across the other side of a lake in Missouri. The problem? The boat could only manage to transport people in much smaller groups!
To overcome this problem and establish a collective theme and unity of purpose for all of the delegates, we staged a pre-dinner music and cocktail event. As simple as it may sound, organising such an event with complex logistics certainly requires a lot of attention to detail, organisation and management skills for it to be successful. The evening was a success and our delegates were more than satisfied with the service they received.
